The light of the world. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the light. It also says that even in heaven, we will not need the S-U-N, because the S-O-N is the light.

There are two distinct forms of light: the first emanates from the sun, providing physical illumination that lights and warms the earth. The second form of light is metaphorical, embodied by Jesus. Having existed since the beginning of creation. Jesus is the light of the gospel, representing the reflection of God's salvation. John 8:12 "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world! The one who follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life." So, with that said, we must let our light shine in a world of darkness. Matthew 5:14 -16 "14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
